What do you get when you put one member of TransFX with two members of CC Dust? CCFX, of course. This new group’s debut EP is a love letter to the staples of any good indie disco. My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, New Order and The Jesus & Mary Chain are all hearkened to within the first minute of opener ‘The One To Wait’, and the band swoon through the subsequent tracks in a similar manner. Mary Jane Dunphe’s voice is CCFX’s secret weapon – her passionate, keening singing recalls that of Sinead O’Connor.
